Looking to order seeds online for the upcoming season? Its important to purchase from reputable growers! Below I'm sharing a few of my favorite seed sources and links, most of which offer free physical seed catalogs! All of these companies have a great selection of seed!
* I am all for supporting small business but eBay and Etsy sellers can pose a disease risk to your garden, you don't know how they garden and nobody is doing a quality check on these sellers - buyers beware!
Baker Creek is my top choice because of their mission to seek out old heritage varieties, even some thought to be long lost to time. Each product page not only tells you what you need to know about a plant but also its story, they're keeping alive the spirit of ancient agricultural wisdom - speaks to my soul! All Heirloom, Non-GMO seed. Baker Creek is the site I come back to season after season to try new fun things in the garden, I'm currently growing some flowers and dwarf sweet corn from them and in the past I've tried many of their fun tomatoes including 'Brad's Atomic Grape'.
What I love about Johnny's is the abundance of reliable varieties. Not as many flashy unique items but solid staples with tested germination rates right on the seed packet. Find Non-GMO Seed with options for Organic and Heirloom types. I've tried and recommend their 'Provider' Bush Bean and 'Desert' or 'Zephyr' Summer Squash/Zucchinis.
